Spiral classifier is one of the essential beneficiation equipment. Based on requirements, it can be configured as a single or double spiral classifier. Utilizing the principle that different solid particles have different sedimentation velocities in liquid due to specific gravity, the spiral classifier serves as a mechanical grading solution. It filters fine material discharged from the overflow tube while returning coarse material to the mill feeder via the spiral rotary vane.

Different solid granularities have different gravity and thus different dropping speeds. Fine ore granularities floating in the water overflow, while larger particles sink to the bottom and are discharged from the upper part by spiral pushing. The machine base uses channel steel and the body is constructed from welded steel plates. The water inlet and axle head utilize pig iron covers for wear proofing and extended operation life. Lifting equipment options include manual or electric control.
