A pasta production line is a fully automated industrial system for making various pasta (spaghetti, macaroni, fusilli, etc.). It follows four key steps:
1. Mixing: Precisely weighed durum wheat semolina, water and optional additives are blended into uniform dough.
2. Extrusion & Shaping: The dough is pressed through shape-specific dies under high pressure and cut into required lengths.
3. Drying: Fresh pasta is dried in a controlled tunnel (from low-temp & high-humidity to cooling) to reduce moisture to ~12.5%, preventing spoilage.
4. Sorting & Packaging: Defective pasta is removed; qualified products are weighed, sealed and labeled for storage and transportation.
